School Admissions in Solihull
To begin your application you will need to sign in or create an account. If you already have an account you can add your child to your existing account. Important: If your child is already linked to your account, please check their current school information and address is up to date before applying.
You should look at the admission arrangements for each school that you are applying for. You will find them on the school's website. It will advise if there are any additional instructions that you need to follow as part of the application process; i.e. provide proof of faith or register for an entrance test.
Starting school at the normal point of entry
Transfer to secondary school in September 2026 - You can only submit an application on this portal if you reside in Solihull. If you live outside of Solihull you must contact your home authority to apply even if you want to apply for schools in Solihull. The closing date for applications is 31 October 2025. Applying late can affect the offer that you receive.
Starting in reception or transferring between an infant and junior school in September 2026 - Applications for reception and infant to junior transfer will be available from 1 October 2025. The closing date is 15 January 2025.
In-Year applications
To apply to move your child in-year (not at the schools normal point of intake) you must complete an application form. You can either submit your application via this portal or you can download the application form from our website. The application form and the accompanying information can be found on our website under the section moving schools during the school year.
14-19 2025 intake
Applications for WMG are administered by the college directly. For all other UTC applications in other council areas contact the UTC directly to find out how to apply.
