Short Breaks and Specialist HAF Activities

From Easter 2026 to August 2027, eight local organisations will be offering 9 different activity programmes. These will include everything from non-contact boxing and forest school, to arts and crafts, youth groups and more. The aim is to give young people a chance to spend time away from home, enjoy themselves with friends and develop independence.

Eligibility
Short Breaks and HAF activities will not require a social work assessment. Short Breaks will be subsidised by Solihull Council. This means that they will be provided at reduced cost for families. HAF places are fully funded by Solihull Council, therefore free to children who are in receipt of benefits-related free school meals.

Booking
Parents can approach providers and book places directly. Those booking HAF activities will need their eligibility code and can view Summer activities below now.
